Mother's Day 2013

Mother's Day is just about the only holiday that we have a family tradition that we never break. My mom's family, has always gone to the zoo on Mother's Day. This has been going on since before my mom was born. My mom, her mom, her grandparents, her aunt & uncle & all of her cousins have been doing this since they all were little kids. For many complicated reason, we don't really spend a lot of time with my mom's family anymore, but we still keep this tradition doing our own this. This year we went to Northwest Trek Wildlife Park with two of her cousins & their families. The weather was perfect for us to get to see a lot of the animals - overcast but not freezing cold & rainy.

The only other time I had been there before last Sunday was when I was too little to remember. The park is so beautiful & I would highly recommend going if you live in the Pacific Northwest or are ever her to visit. I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Just some goats hanging out on the side of the tram road.
My grandmother (:
My little sis & I. She was so tired from her prom the night before - Here - that she may have fallen asleep while on the tram ride.
My mom's all time favorite animals; she would have spent all day here if we'd let her.
Our mother (she really is happy, she just doesn't like her smile?)
It's so funny to me that the glass does this. So weird.
Like I said, the park is gorgeous & it wasn't so big that you felt you were getting lost or too overwhelmed with how many animals you have to see. We had a 5 year old & 7 year old with us & it was the perfect length for them.

Hope your Mother's Day was just an wonderful as mine!

Enjoy your weekend!
