Inspiration: Quotes & Scripture

I don't know about you, but I have been struggling with a lot of insecurities & personal things for the past few weeks. I have gotten over a lot of it, but some days I still struggle a little. I have felt very alone, isolated, & just not valued. I know that none of that is true, but I have felt that way nonetheless. I felt bitter, jealous, angry, sad, & just dark most of the time. It was not a good feeling & I had to make a change.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been working really hard on combatting those lies head on. I know that my Savior is my one true love, & my one true constance in my life. He has been speaking to me about relying on Him more, especially above my family, friends, & Ben.
Anyway, I have found these quotes & scriptures to be inspiring & good daily reminders for me so I thought I would share them with you all in case anyone else out there is struggling with the same things I have been.
I encourage you to save these to your computer, phone, or tablet & keep them there to remind you daily how much your Savior loves & cares for you. He will never leave you.

Have a great week!

RECIPE | White Chocolate Snickerdoodles

I love snickerdoodles. & I love white chocolate. So when I saw this recipe on Pinterest I knew it was fate.
INGREDIENTS:
-2 3/4 cups four
-2 tsp. cream of tartar
-1 tsp. baking soda
-1/2 tsp. salt
-1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
-2 Tbsp. sugar
-1 tsp. cinnamon
-about 1/2 bag of white chocolate chips
(Ignore the brown sugar in the picture - I don't know how that snuck in there?)
Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, & salt in a bowl.
In a separate bowl combine sugar & butter until fluffy & creamy.
Add the eggs.
In batches, add the dry ingredients to the wet until thoroughly combined.
Add the white chocolate chips. You can add as little or as much as you like - I love white chocolate chips so I added a lot.
Make ~1 inch size balls of dough & roll in the sugar/cinnamon mixture (my hands were too messy to photograph this step).
Place on a greases cookie sheet & put in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
ENJOY!

TRAVELS | San Diego - Scripps Birch Aquarium

Alright, I am finally getting around to posting the second half of my trip last weekend. It has just been a crazy week - last week of preschool, graduation, & not to mention all of my school work.

The second day of my trip consisted of going to the Scripps Birch Aquarium with my stepmom, dad, & step brother. Then we went up to this place where all of the paragliders and hanggliders take off & watched them as we had lunch. By the way, I don't know about you, but I found it quite challenging to take pictures at the aquarium. I couldn't use my flash which made a lot of them blurry, plus that thick glass kinda makes things look weird. So these are the ones I thought turned out the best. Enjoy!
This fish was HUGE. I had never seen a bigger fish in my entire life.
That tadpole looking thing in there is a baby shark that hadn't hatched (or whatever you call it?) yet. We could see it squirming around in there - pretty cool.
This is the view from the tidepool area outside the aquarium.
Dad, stepmom, stepbrother, & me.
Wearing a seahorse headband of course (:
I had such a great trip & I was so sad to go. The weekend just wasn't long enough (is it ever long enough?)

Have a great weekend!
